Australian born, Malaysian-Chinese singer/songwriter Emily Soon never fails to surprise any first time listener. Her mellow, buttery voice almost reminiscent of Tracy Chapman, Norah Jones or Bonnie Raitt will leave you serenaded and mesmerised.



Taking a break from recording in recent years, Emily honed her writing with the help of highly respected mentors including Clare Reynolds, Oh Pep! and Charles Jenkins. Inspired by travel, changing relationships and newfound independence, her ensuing material evokes greater clarity, confidence and charisma.



’Good Help Is Hard To Find’ marks the next chapter in Emily’s story - an unlikely anthem co-written and produced by iconic Melbourne musician Henry Wagons.



Emily will be playing solo at Compass Pizza in her final Melbourne show before embarking on a writing trip to North America.

Wybie + Huwbie are an experimental electric guitar and voice folk duo. Performing new original music and new arrangements of old songs, if James Taylor found some fungus in the forest and then walked into an art gallery with a megaphone, this is what it might sound like.



Wybie is the project of Kyle Muir, guitarist of Melbourne art-folk band Hoi Palloi.



Huwbie is the project of Huw Charles-Walsh, A-Grade drummer and vocalist of Gian Slater’s Invenio choir.



Tonight the two will collide and turn the audience into a steaming mess of emotions.



Original music written by both performers.



Supported by them is Siwei Wong, performing new original solo music on the compass grand piano.

in Melbourne. He studied classical bassoon and sound art and after falling in love

and live-looping Crumhorn explores historical classical music, jazz, ambient

Alongside guitarist Toshi Cornellius, bassist Vincent Barker and drummer Max Hazeldine, Grace Robinson will grace the stage (ha ha) with some new and some old tunes. The group use a combination of their jazz and blues knowledge with pop influences, creating a distinctive sound. Grace Robinson has been showcasing her live music with her incredible band for almost three years now, however the group has recently undergone a name change, "State Of Grace," to reflect the solidarity of the band as being far beyond the front woman . State Of Grace's music is focused around intricate lyricism and catchy melodies, energetically executed across a variety of genres and diverse instrumentation.
