Rock n Roll Orgy (Celebrating Love In All Its Forms)
Love doesn't have a rule book. If it does, it's a work in progress. Exploring sexual identity and maintaining meaningful connections is a delicate balance and an ongoing journey. We're travelling the East Coast of Australia with the Songs of Tom Smith to celebrate and cherish love in all its forms.
There will be an MC to link the performances together, conduct a quiz, give away prizes and bring the audience and performers together as a whole to create fertile ground for ideas to blossom.
THE SONGS OF TOM SMITH
When Tom himself performs he dresses up in character, often as a woman or androgenously. This allows him to bring the audience with him as the songs are mostly lyric-based narratives and/or character based explorations from marginalised or eccentric viewpoints.
Randall Lee and Ashtray Boy have been based in Sydney, Chicago, Vancouver and Melbourne. During the mid-1990s there were two working versions of the band in Sydney and Chicago, with Randall splitting his time between the two cities.
The band is notable for Randall's droll lyrics and singing and odd time signatures. Ashtray Boy has released, nine albums, numerous singles and EPs.
