Natalie Carolan ‘all parts beautiful, powerful and vulnerable’ self-titled alt/pop EP was three years in the making and was launched in both Melbourne and Perth in June 2018. She created the EP alongside Melbourne producers, James Saunders, Luke Howard and Gareth Thomson, the 4-track delight weaving ambient and enticing harmonic backdrops with alluring production and Carolan’s exquisite song-writing.
Melbourne singer-songwriter Alice Stockdale has spent the last few years writing pop songs heavy on melody and telling the truth. Leaning towards the emotional immediacy of artists such as Tori Amos and Carole King, Alice’s expressive voice illuminates tales of love, loss and lessons. With vocal influences ranging from Aaliyah to Kacey Musgraves and inspired by the poetic meditations of artists like Kate Bush and the War on Drugs, Alice’s writing weaves together harmonic richness, soulful emotion and honest story-telling.
Supporting Natalie Carolan at Compass on November 9th during peak Scorpio season, there will only be one song about being ghosted. Alice is currently writing her debut EP.
