Patrick Wilson is a Melbourne based multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter. Toting his blend of old-time and alternative country he draws comparisons to the early music of Guy Clark and Steve Young. With story telling and song integrity at the forefront of his music, Wilson pushes the boundaries of “Americana” music in an attempt to define the relatively new genre.
From the age of 19 Patrick began working as an apprentice butcher in his surf-coast hometown of Torquay, Victoria. Here he lived the wear and tear of daily grind, working an unfulfilling job during the day, and at night writing and cultivating his name around the Geelong/ Melbourne music scene. Wilson took this only as fuel to the fire, up and quitting his job and channeling small-town life into writing, recording and independently releasing debut EP, ‘Ryan The Moth’ in 2013. Noted as the ‘eptiome of country folk’ (Torrent This TV).
