The Shoelace Sessions are excited to present a night of music at Compass Pizza. We will be showcasing our favourite artists and our team will be capturing the entire show to create live videos for all involved. This event will held on the first Saturday of March, April & May 2019.
Our first night on March 2nd is filled with an amazingly talented lineup, comprising of Rory Walker, Grace Turbo & Riley Catherall.
Be sure to come along, have some delicious pizza, a few drinks & be whisked away for the night xx
|| Rory Walker ||
Weaving through the motifs of obsessive adoration, frivolous spending and mental illness, Melbourne based singer/songwriter Rory paints with bright colours on a dark canvas, showing us that even the most bleak situations aren’t without a silver lining. Or in his words “I’m a Folky sad boy that sings long songs”. Rory has been seen recently supporting Melbourne’s best folk/pop acts including Chitra, Merpire and Didirri - he is one not to be missed!
|| Grace Turbo ||
Grace Turbo is a piano driven artist, delivering eerie folk songs that carry themselves in waves of unrelenting romantic realism and melancholy. Wholly powerful melodies with lyrics that sit with you and resonate long after being sung. Turbo is currently working on her first single release “Riverside” with a video and album launch on the horizon.
|| Riley Catherall ||
Americana singer songwriter Riley Catherall, outlines a patient, yet ambitious storyteller in the genesis of his songwriting career. Riley Catherall has been described is a young man with, it may be said, an old soul. Off the back of his most recent single release ‘Robin’ and playing the main stage at this year’s Tamworth music festival, Riley shows no sign of stopping anytime soon.
We hope you are as excited as we are ~ xx
